Seafood Gumbo

For a quick and easy, local seafood gumbo that can feed a crowd, mix our packaged roux and gumbo base with our fresh shrimp and crab claw meat..


Made with a New Orlean’s authentic dark roux, fresh chopped vegetables, okra, spices, and a generous amount of succulent shrimp and fresh crabmeat.

How to Make

Thaw frozen base and gumbo packages in refrigerator prior to use. 


Add one package of Dr. Gumbo’s Gumbo Base with one package of the Shrimp and Okra Gumbo in a large saucepan and warm on medium heat. 


Add one can of tomato sauce.


Blanch the shrimp.


Save one cup of liquid from shrimp pan and add to gumbo.


*Add fresh-picked crab claw meat, andouille sausage, and/or chicken if desired.
